Second time I've been cycling with headphones and they've gotten caught in the chain and been ruined, lesson learned for sure. A dog ran out in front of me and caused me to swerve and my headphones fell out of my ears, got tangled in the chain and got torn into many difference pieces: again!

Running the headphone cable up through one of your top layers stops this from happening!

When I use headphones on the bike, which isn't very often, I run the headphone cable through my t-shirt, with the speaker end poking out of the neck, and the iPod end going out of the bottom of the t-shirt and in to my pocket.

Wish I'd thought of this before I'd ruined two pairs! I don't use my headphones on the road, only when I'm on a cycle path. Thanks for the tip!

bluetooth headphones are the kitty kat, no cables, don't fall out when you get sweaty and you can switch songs/adjust volume without getting out the phone/ipod. I love mine they pair to my phone and my ipad and last all day for music, tv and everything else.

Surely you just need to resolder the cables ?
(unless they were only a fiver I suppose)
