Its getting to be proper dark up her in not so sunny Scotland. I need a good front light for my road bike. Any recommendations? I am not looking too spend a fortune but it needs to throw out a decent light and not be too large.

xmlt6 magic shine clones on that budget. I got one recently for 25 quid on Ebay and they throw out a good amount of light. They are cheap and Chinese so I don't hold much hope in having it for more than a couple of years but at that price its irrelevant IMO.

Can I jump on this thread, as I'm in the same boat please?

I need a front light. Mostly to be seen, but I may occasionally stray from the street lights so a reasonable one to see by too. I really don't want to pay more than £50. I've read the reviews on Torchy TBB, and would conclude that one of these would be suitable:

Fluxient R5 Zoom Focus
Xtar B01 / Cree R4 led
Torchy XM-L T6 Zoom Focus
Fluxient T6 mini

However, I can't find any of these available, anywhere! Can someone point me in the right direction or suggest a suitable alternative please?

Ta muchly.

Check out Planet X bikes and Phaart lights. They have a couple of front lights left at £9.99 and if you use phaart50 as a code you get them for half price.

Just got 4 of the silver fronts for my family and they are a good cheap option and very bright. Construction is a bit cheap though.

The other is to look out for the Smart light front rear packs, Planet X have some good deals on these.
