Considering on buying this light

The brightest setting is 400 Lumens, the lowest 125 Lumens. Part of my commute is pretty much pitch black, but the rest will be on well light roads. I'm a bit concerned about blinding the commuters travelling towards me - the cycle track is a 2-way path.

Anyone used it? Or any other recommendations on a light (maybe a cheaper one!). Thanks.

.

Position the light so that it is in "dipped mode" as opposed to "full beam" - you can still be seen without blinding anyone and can see far enough yourself

Ive just bought the Macro ones and its so much better than the cats eye one i used before, i go through a pitch black underpass and i had to pretty much walk through before and now i dont need to slow down there that bright.

I have last year's model of this and am impressed. It is an excellent light. Battery lasts for hours - depending on setting. Have used it on numerous night rides to good effect. (see FNRttC).

As pk99 says, angle the beam sufficiently to the road surface and you won't blind oncoming road users.

I have the new micro drive, i live beside CRC so had a look at them all in store, the micro really is bright, would stand as a good commuting light on its own, the power drive looked good enough to do unlit roads at night. About as bright as my magicshine.

I ride with a magicshine on the bars and the micro on my helmet, i do trails and tow paths at night and the micro helps me pick out the path ahead. I likes the Lezyne as it looked good, weighed next to nothing, seemed very well built and was USB rechargable
