To the OP (more seriously): If you wanted to turn the 2nd lounge into a workroom, the time to agree on that was before the new carpet was installed.

Alternatively, many people on this thread (from the OP onwards) can consider what is humour and what is simply misogynistic claptrap.If you dont like whats posted you can easily ignore it and move on, any attempt to address what you find 'depressing' is certain to cause unnecessary friction.
