Yes - in the pre-internet era there there were all those ultra rare, extremely expensive psychedelic records which reportedly (since no-one had heard them) put the likes of Pink Floyd to shame.

Since the rise of youtube however these rarities have mysteriously vanished only to be replaced by crappy little pop songs with a 5 second bit of 'wild' feedback and a coda where the the drums are played backwards.

I remember buying my first fax machine,only my bigger clients could afford them.Within a month,most of our work arrived by fax,& all clients had them.Thats how fast things moved .
