How did i miss this thread? Helen, I LOVE your guts, nice work!! Sounds like an utterly brilliant idea.

I'm quite risk averse and thus would advise you to do the unpaid leave thing, because when you come back, you'd have something to keep you in baked beans whilst you found your dream job. I suspect you'll come back having a much better idea of what you want to do, and won't take them up on the offer, but personally I'd like the security.

However it's your call and I'm just so excited for you!!!

Cathryn - don't worry, I'm very risk averse too and unless I go wild with my spending whilst away I won't be stuck on a diet of baked beans when I get back! If I am, there's always the fall back position of living with my parents while I get back on my feet, and the prospect of that will make me keep some money in reserve!

He does, I loved the below and haven't heard it before, what a motivator!:ohmy:
