Seems a bit pointless to me; nice idea but I'm sceptical as to the long term health of the bike and the alu/steel etc frames with that amount of abuse. Plus if it only works for an hour (just skim read so might have misread it) then that's meaningless as a lot of bikes are locked for the whole day whilst someone is at work...seems much like a gimmick rather than something serious.

Plus, if it doesn't work on carbon fibre then a lot of bikes can't be protected by it.

Another option to not carry the weight of the lock, put onto your bike frame with a mount or leave it locked at work if the rack is usually out of sight of general public and have another one with you if you need to lock the bike up after work and are heading out.

EDIT: I think I'm missing the joke...doh! Teaches me to take it all so seriously! LOL

You've nearly saved yourself by saying you only skim read it, but it still made me smile - thank you!

I love seeing that others are as "human" as me at times! Thank you!

Who is going to 'test' it then............

I might volunteer - I'm on the look out for a new bike - when I get one I could test it on the old one - I'll warm up the sledghammer - but I might decide to wash it off in the canal afterwards -

tt - didn't the switch activated business just start to give it away?
