Acquired yesterday; DMR Trailstar in rattle-can matte black, Hope hubs, 1 speed, Hope disc on rear, 24'' wheels with 3'' slicks. It weighs a frickin ton compared to my Vertex. Needs a decent low rise BMX bar and stem, 3 pc chromoly cranks, new saddle, pedals (gorra be V12s innit) and fork. Wants a Profile Imperial chain ring. Possibly in green

Right now it looks as hard as nails and I really don't want to lose that by poncifying it too much. The guy I got it from said 'Her name is Monster' as I walked away with it. When I walked it into the house She said, 'Ew! It's a monster!

Which was nice.

Odd looking bike though Mickle, what's it for?

It's a mountain bike. Actually a dirt jumping frame. Mountain bike meets BMX I suppose. I used to have an eighties Cruiser class BMX for tooling around on, 24 inch wheels rather than 20s (although this thing will also accept 26 inch knobblies). This is a similar shape but built like a fricking tank. Built for abuse, ie crashing. Don't know if I'll keep it but it'll make a nice project.
