While it is nice to receive a like it's also not really that important to me & as such I can, as I just have, liked both MDB's & vernons posts here.

The rub is that I can like two comments almost at polar ends of a subject because I agree to an extent with both points.

The best thing about likes for me is that you can gauge to an extent if you share a similar sense of humour or political persuasion for example.

This possibly gives me an idea of if I might enjoy sharing a pint or cycle ride with another CC member for instance.

Having said all that, I might have formed an opinion that so & so are top blokes or ladies & they might subscribe to Cannibal Monthly magazine & own their own Dungeon.

Who knows.

The reason for this, is that if you like a public status, it will show up on your friends' feeds, so it's kinda informing people by hitting like.

I must admit that I had been looking at the points and realised that although I might not have a high post to like ratio, at least I do have more points than other people who have more likes, so I at least can be a little lah dee dah about something at least!! :giggle:

I'm on holiday right now so haven't been able to post as much as I usually do, so I notice @Fnaar is coming up on me from behind (ooh err!).


Unfortunately, this tent isn't very conducive for posting anything fabulously amusing.

That said, I have just bought from a nearby Antique shop, a wonderful old Miller Acetylene lamp, hopefully for the Humber, so I'll have to post pictures of it in the Vintage section later!
