If one was working near to Liverpool St, where does one find the best and least expensive B&B that one could use the bike to go to and fro'?
Actually, I'd like some non frivolous replies/recommendations

Travelodge? There are a few near Liverpool Street. Can be very cheap if you book way in advance. There's also one near Euston, if you fancy riding the bike. Very straightforward route from there to LP.

The problem with London is that good quality, reasonably priced B&Bs are rare. Nearest trad B&Bs to Liverpool Street would be Whitechapel / Old Street / Bethnal Green areas, and I imagine the quality would vary greatly, and probably wouldn't be much cheaper than the 'budget' chain hotels.

When it comes to London the words "cheap" and "accomodation" do not go together anymore than the words "quick" and "beer" do in the rest of the country.

There is a reason why several million Londoners commute into the City/West End on a daily basis and that reason is the non-existence of Cheap Accomodation.

The nearest you are going to get to 'cheap', (that being a reletive term), to Liverpool St (the most expensive office space in Europe), is to either head out to the East End, or the NE/E/SE Suburbs.

The other option is to join one of the clubs/societies that run central London hotels and hostels. These include the ex Forces, Scouts, YMCA, various Church based organisations, AA, RAC, etc etc

To put this into context, we put up people in a hotel near Liverpool Street with agreed corporate rates and that rate is £175 (excluding VAT) a night for a basic room.

Accommodation aside, have you got your bike parking and security sorted? That's the important thing.

The one at Euston could not offer me a space to store my bike, so I went elsewhere.
