Cracking a solo.
Not really, I just take the shower round mine after using it, clean it with cif around once a week and give it a proper bicarb scrub every so often.
Couldn't that be described as washing it out?

In the case of people living alone, they of course have carte blanche to let their baths get as filthy as they like

Of course she says that. That's because she wants you to continue to do all the work. Your wife clearly isn't stupid..........

I don't do it though. thats the point. but when I do cook she gets a bit peeved as it is just better. and she hates it when i press my trousers as i can get a crease you could shave with without tramlining

I think the type of water in your area makes a big difference to how often the bath needs cleaning!

Back in Coventry, the bath used to get pretty scummy after use because it is a 'hard water! area. It would get pretty nasty after a week or two if it were not cleaned regularly.

We have 'soft water' here in this part of Yorkshire and my bath remains pretty clean after use. I splosh a couple of jugs of hot water over it every now and then, but that is all that is required.

I think women sometimes feel pressure to have a home that looks like a showhome because that's what they grew up with? My mum spends WAY too much time doing cleaning jobs in a clean house and that's what I grew up in, but I couldn't live like that. There's more to life. But I do feel a certain level of guilt that my home doesn't look perfect all the time....

And I agree, bedding doesn't need ironing.
