I live in a shared house, but it is almost like living alone (except for one person...), and I like having time where I don't have to "socialise" with other people... too much like hard work, and all the smiling and nicey nicey makes my face ache...

some daft bugger (not me) thought carpet was good for a kitchen... it's not. Even by my low standards, the floor is but the rent is very very cheap affordable.

There are areas where it's cheaper though, like no exhorbitant public skool fees, only one 4x4, save a fortune on spa gifts, and sometimes the freedom is priceless.
