The only problem with being car less in Alberta is the huge distances between places.

Drove from one of my sisters in Calgary to the other in McMurray, took me about 12 hours, flew back down!

We've been to Alberta a few times and loved it. We have friends in Canmore and toured elsewhere a bit but not on bikes. Where are you?

BTW, welcome.

Welcome to CycleChat!

Hope your commutes aren't too far in the winter. I would love to cycle in Canada sometime. Been to Whitehorse for a couple days.

as long as you dress for the weather commutes are not a problem, when temps are 0 and above it's T- shirt time in Canada !!!
I wouldn't call 0F T-shirt time. 30F and up yes. But then I'm not a Canuck.
Conversely in Kuwait 90 is chilly where 100 is warm. You feel chilly because day time temps get to 125 to 130F.
