works fine on my tora forks with remote poplock on the handlebars. YMMV

As long as they are not at a point of pull compression you will will be fine.

I do think it is better to lock them out when they are at sag levels only but that is purely personal choice.

Thanks, will try locking and unlocking when I'm riding along the road later. Much easier than stopping and taking my weight off the bike if I can.

Just don't expect them to be totally rigid. Many will move by the sag amount (10/15% of the max travel of the fork)

Yeah they move a tiny bit unless I hold the front wheel off the ground but that seems a bit excessive.
