Meet one of my cats, Lois Griffin.

We couldn't decide on a name so I said "let's switch on the TV and name her after the first female we see."

Fortunately, the TV was on ITV3 and not The History Channel, or she would have been called Eva Braun.

Thanks Cathryn, she is adorable. Shes mainly American Tabby, but we know her lineage and she has a bengal in her bloodline 4 generations back. There's precious little of it in her appearance, but her behaviour and character are of that ilk.

She's a loving, friendly thing. She was very close, to Lemmy and she knew he was not well and paid him a lot of attention with grooming and cuddling up to him in his final days. Now hes gone she seems a little out of sorts, even more of an affectionate fuss pot, as if she is seeking reassurance that everything is ok.

A late update to this. Lois sadly went to Rainbow Bridge on the 1st of May.

She's been poorly for her while, but her cheeky character was still evident. Sadly she suddenly went downhill very quickly due to cancer, and once it was clear she was suffering I regretfully had to make the decision to let her go.

I held her as she slipped away and she was one my lap during the journey home. I laid her to rest in her favourite sunny spot in the back garden.

Well, write it down boy ......
So sad to hear that, a lovely looking cat. My previous cat had to be put to sleep and I regret not being with her right at the end. I was there when she expired, but the vet had dosed her up before I went in, so the last thing she saw would have been the vet rather than me. I'd never had a cat put to sleep before and the vet seemed to think I wouldn't want to be there at the end. TBH I hope my current cat outlasts me.
