Hello Ladies and Gents!

Thanks for taking the time to read about our epic cycle tour for charity. Hopefully many of you will find it an interesting and inspiring read and be encouraged to donate so we can make a difference in this world.

The Challenge:

4 lads
4 push bikes (...Surly Long haul truckers  thanks for the advice guys! amazing bike)
and over 5000 miles of tarmac! (and some dirt roads too)

Our route:

France, Germany, follow the Danube through Germany onto Austria, then head down through Slovenia, Croatia, Montenagro, (maybe a detour to Kosovo too and then to) Albania, Greece, Turkey and depending on the political situation we may have to skip some countries and ferry over to Cyprus and Egpyt, then towards Sudan, Eritrea, Ethiopia and finally Mombasa in KENYA!!!

We aim to camp as much as possible spending most nights huddled under a tent
We aim to cycle around 8-10hours day hopefully covering at least 70miles and
We aim to make this experience life changing for both the street kids of kenya and us.

We have given our selves up to 6 months for the challenge, which should be more than enough, but it is important to remember this is not a race... its a tour!

The Charity:

Glad's House charity helps the homeless streek kids of Kenya, some as young as 3 and 4, escape the drugs, violence and poverty that surrounds them.
They aim to change the children and show them a better way of life so they can eventually be intergrated back into society and live a more enjoyable life than the ones they lead on the streets.

So there you have it guys! We thought that after graduating from uni, we should do something worthwhile before getting caught up in the rat race, so if you could help make our journey even more life changing for those unfortunate children please do so. Even if its just a small amount, we are giving all of the money to the charity, and funding the ride ourselves.

There is no limit or target for the fundraising, but hopefully we will raise a decent amount to help as many children as possible.

The easiest way to donate is through our VirginGiving charity event page (http://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/team/Kenyaforchange) and it would be nice to leave a message saying your from the forums if you decide to donate

We are making our own website atm so will update this post when its completed

Thanks for your time guys! lets make a change!
