Na not really lol, i find forums more interesting(not meant in a sarcastic way).

These shows are always an expensive let down IMHO; whether it be a cycle show, car show or motorbike show. Worst ever was the Scottish cycle show at the SECC in 2011. A trip to Evans would have been of more interest.

Felt exactly the same at the Earls Court bike show a couple of years back. OK if you want to nose at bike porn but nothing of real substance. These show's are more for trade then joe public.

Might be this mob. Did I miss anything by deciding not to go? Ended up having too many things to attend to at home so gave the 400+ miles each way trip a miss.

That was my first thought - the bike show website lists two "chicken cycles". The one you linked to had a floor dominating area with a good metric ton of bikes and gear, whereas for this solitary cubicle, it seemed like their delivery driver for the show went AWOL with their stall. Perplexing really. I'd appreciate if anyone else going over the next two days could keep an eye out for this fellow.

You missed some freebies, the usual energy bar/drink sampling, some nice cheeses in the Outdoor show next door. Dura Ace 11s in the 'flesh'. Pinarello seeming to take over half the display floor. (I didn't count but I reckon they had about a 30x30m area to themselves and around 50 bikes on show). A lot of Wilier around. Bianchi conspicuously absent. As was Trek. And a grumpy St John's Ambulance lady who was more interested in texting on her phone than explaining the nature of their cycle ambulance programme. Brompton had an interesting little tool kit that fitted in the frame at the main folding joint. Tidy.

*also, it was quite nice meeting the folks from Shutt, having emailed them regarding orders and whatnot a fair bit in the past. Lovely folks.

I ended up spending over £350 but its all good fun, theres a nice stool for woman on the outdoor/bike boundry. one of those pee funnel things.
Rather dashing young ladies on that stool.

Had a good nose around at pretty much all of the stalls, mainly gandering at all the bike pron and taking photos.
Had a seriously chat with a custom jersey company about pricing structures on orders, looking to get some made for Silly Cyclists.

They are nice people at Shutt, and thier gear is good too. The enemy and I have several of thier garments. I am fortunate to live about 2 miles form the office which is on one of my cycle routes, so I'm able to pop in for a coffee if I want.

I would've liked to gone to the bike show, but getting to that venue is such a blumen faf, I really can't be bothered with it.

What a waste of time!!!

If it was free entry then fine but to charge people to just see stalls of adverts!!!

Seeing a Ribble Grand Fono was very nice as well as the Canyon Bikes. The chicken cycle stand was dangerous. Campag ESP :-)

I was disappointed, no touring bikes apart from one Van Nicholas which a guy had taken along as a stage prop for his talk(which I missed).
There was a circuit on which people were taking bikes for a test spin, but there were not many bikes and there was a lack of information on what was available to test..
Lots of light drop bar bikes without mudguards and bikes with suspension, but if these are not your thing then it was perhaps a waste of time.
