I live in Coventry having moved here for uni in 2003, on many streets you can see where houses have been re-built. The house I lived in for three years of my time had had a bomb go through the bay window of my room (would have been the dinning room at the time) and out through the back corner of the house, taking out the stairs and the corner of the adjoining terrace, bouncing and taking out a house in the next street (you could see where, in a line, the route the bomb had taken)

There are, obviously, many signs of the bombing and destruction that took place, including shrapnel on the walls of many old buildings, including the old cathedral.
