In Cambridge it's luck of the draw. The native drivers typically are quite cooperative (freudian auto-correct, it thinks I'm trying to type copulative) & aware of cyclists but the immigrant drivers are usually blind to everything including cyclists.

buses outside of London - that's a different thing. The Brighton bus drivers are a disgrace.

But how do you know where each driver comes from?
+ 1 for what User said.

User, maybe it has just been the luck of the draw on my few trips using the Uni 4. But the Easter European drivers I've experienced are complete nutters, they don't just single out cyclists however they scare the hell out of everyone ;).

Are you a BNP member?
That aimed at me? if so no. As a general rule non-British nationals are easier to deal with, more polite, friendly & helpful than their local counterparts, I just have found the bus drivers have a little... erm.. care free attitude to road safety.

FYI I've not had a girlfriend that's a English native speaker, let alone British national, for the best part of 10 years.
