Booo. Ok.

We had two functions last year as well. There was the xmas meal/drinks at The Stage Door organised by Martin.

Unfortunately I'm no longer based at Waterloo and the pubs around Whitehall tend to be shall we say, expensive!!!

I really need to get stuff sorted and I'm running out of days in December but could be up for a few beers in Chandos one night.

Chandos is alright. Busy at xmas though being in tourist land. What about Cittie of Yorke as another Samuel Smith's Pub? The one near Chancery Lane?

Aye.. a decent pub that.

Chandos isn't bad if you get there about 5ish and cordon off a bit of the upstairs. Half the tourists don't realise there is an upstairs thankfully!!!

With regards to Spin Class, there are many reasons why I go... and if I could add those miles, it would be about an extra 60pw. However, its not and cycling can get very boring on your own so I like the interaction. And all the ladies in lycra... and its warmer.. and I burn more calories.. and.. so on...

Rightio, do we need a second thread for the part two? Personally, Ild like to do in between crimbo and nye as I am off for two weeks over then and it means more space for us lot to party, rather than being rammed in with every other tom dicks and harrys parties...

You may have read numerous threads about so-called 'social rides' on this here forum. I think you've managed to do a few....I remember you had problems finding Esher a few weeks back ;)

Now, you did say upthread something about "should have reeled you in by the second week of Movember...". No slipsliding that, sorry....that's 720+ more miles than whatever I do over the next four weeks (as we are in the second week of October). As I'm off the bike most of December, I don't think you should get any credit for sneaking past me at the end of the year ;)

No, no, no.....you said you'd do it mid-November. I don't see why you should get credit for storing up leave when you've spent all those hours in a nice comfy gym riding to nowhere. MTFU and close that gap in a month, Walnuts

HAHA!!!!

Actually, those spin bikes are the devils own doing. I have sores on my thighs where they rub the seat mountings. The handle bars are wonky and all wrong. The actual saddles are cheap layers of foam and mounted all wonky.. And!! I have to use SPD shoes to use them properly! Shocking..

However.

Bring it on, boyo!
