one small warning about the Rex Whistler Restaurant. The waitress, a woman in the prime of life, and possessed of a happy demeanour, suggested I might enjoy some punishment if I didn't finish my starter. I thought it was highly inappropriate, but my dining companions (FNRttCers both) thought it amusing. Ha!

You've done it now- Rich will book all the tables before mangaman gets a look-in. I wonder what wine she recommends with the crisp course...

This place is not quite Central London but is very easy to get to, close to Clapham Common. Me and my BF go here quite regularly, he knows the owner, and it is superb. Booking is essential though as it's very busy without being noisy.

Actually, mangaman, we may all be barking up the wrong tree. In Aperitif's case he may just be barking; but I digress.

Looking at the title again, is it a restaurant you're looking for, or a reet-sewer-rant which is northern-speak for foul and abusive language?

You're right - I don't know why people keep giving me restaurant tips

Seriously - thanks all. Looking around

http://www.sarastro-restaurant.com/ is a bit different and quite popular. I haven't been for a while but I pass it most days and I think it's quite popular for hen nights

Update for you Titan.

Thanks a lot, the crew decided on a day in London starting at at the V and A, drinking Cava in Regents Park, Sarastro, a cocktail bar near Waterloo until the last train and had a great time last night. I picked her up from a mate this morning a bit the worse for wear.

So, from my GF and her mates, thanks to you and all that contributed.

Are you sure you want to marry this girl ? it's not to late ;)

Yes

She got quite pissed on Saturday and dressed up - but I think she looks beautiful in jeans and a T-shirt with no make up or jewerly -which is her default look.

So there
