Ah, well we're a minority I'm afraid, there are many people round here who think that only direct laws should be obeyed and that behaviour otherwise is fairly irrelevent.

Well, if you want to get pedantic only laws should be obeyed. Everything else is a moral choice. I'm not arguing against common sense just trying to establish what's legal vs what's sensible. The chevrons, for example, are not mandatory, you can enter them if it's safe to do so. These points may seem trivial but the repercussions can be significant depending on whether what you were doing is seen as careless vs. plain illegal.
Um, stopping in the ASL is one thing, but is there actually anything inherently wrong/illegal with going round 'the wrong side of a traffic island'? Isn't it a bit like using the other side of the road to overtake - ie, totally legal, so long as it's done sensibly, carefully etc. I'm not being cute here - I'm curious.
yello is curious. You inquire.

(kaching! max CC pedant points with pornographic reference - retires to divan to mop brow!!!!!)
