So on Friday, I was taking part in a group cycle ride between UEL's 2 campuses - Docklands and Stratford (for the moment, we'll leave out the fact that out of a university of 20,000 students, only myself and the guide turned up). Most of the route was along the Greenway, which was very nice to ride apart from the occasional idiotic "slide your bike through here" style gate.
At the top end of the Greenway, the route meets with the A118/Stratford High Street heading into Stratford town centre. I was rather pleased to see that we appear to be getting the type of infrastructure that we actually need. The road was 3 lanes in either direction, but one lane in each direction is being segregated with a raised curb to form the new part of CS2.
I'll take some photos next time I'm up that way, but for now, I just wanted to pass on some good news as you can never have enough when it comes to cycling.
