For the nice views I reckon Ally Pally is best, the Richmond view is nice and all, but nowhere near as good, and it's a bit of a slog for a second rate vista...
Best Ally Pally view is from the Parkland Walk viaduct.  Nothing like a bumpy overgrown path in the dark.

You won't be alone. I climb the thing twice a day and still sound like a train going up.

Nope the park is shut but Shooters Hill has an approach from outside the park, worry not!!!!

I've just noticed a bit of a problem that means I may not be going, 3 day residential course 8th, 9th and 10th. Will see.

Wild card question but if anyone feels like a leisurely trip round and about from Londons Albert bridge for a couble of hours now (before darkness strikes) with a raptobike do let me know..... R

Was so busy looking at lovely clear sky I didnt notice the air speed! Not to worry. Another, less breezy wildcard then! R

a slow amble down the South Bank from Waterloo to the GLA is good, then an illicit zap across the wobbly bridge (the noise, my dears, is to die for) before a quiet lie down under the Gherkin, and a circumnavigation of the Lloyds building?
