interesting, It seems England, Wales, Scotland and NI each have their own bus pass scheme. In England you need to be pension age, in the rest you need to be 60.

It doesn't say if they are interoperable, does one work in another's territory? I doubt it.

To complicate matters further, in London you can get an Oyster Freedom Pass at 60 which gives free off-peak travel on all TfL services.
