I'm not keen on short sleeves, is there long sleeved cycle jerseys and bib tights for hot weather?

Yes, I have a DHB long sleeved jersey that I could use in summer as it's not a thermal one, and has a full length zip. Non-thermal long tights are also around, so it can be done.

Evans do a Louis Garneau one, altura do a summer airstream but I'd say they are for cooler days, not the same material as a short sleeve Jersey (not that they are all the same material)

I wear a Nike running top under short sleeve jersey, or arm warmers. It needs to be at least 20 deg for me to go with bare arms on a bike

The cycle-clothing.co.uk long sleeved 'Aerate' tops are made from light weight material.

Limited colour choice though HERE

I saw those tights say for autumn cycling....and that's the general problem. Almost none say "great even when its baking hot".

I can't imagine it's difficult - just use thinner Lycra I suppose.

I tend to wear a Helly Hansen base layer, sometimes with a lightweight summer jersey on top- works ok for me

Both my husband and I have the Altura transformer top. The sleeve zip off, so it is a long and short sleeved top and like a lot of the others above, I don't take off the sleeve unless it is really warm. I also like the fact that the sleeves easily fold up into one of the 3 rear pockets (though now I am recumbent bound, that may not be as useful as before) but the top itself became my main cycling attire (coupled with some Assos early autumn 3/4 length leggings (which also come in a bib form)).
