It's amazing how small the capital really is and how much longer some journeys take on the tube.

I find this too. We're not regular visitors to London, but after initially thinking we'd need the tube to get from most toursity places to most others, we discovered over time that walking between most central locations actually doesn't take that long - and you get to see so much more on the way obviously!
