Hello all,

I am trying to find a route for a long weekend of road cycling for this summer. Myself and 3 mates did Devon C2C last year and are looking for something similar for this summer. Plan is to get train to start point, cycle for 3 days and then train back from finish point. We are based in London so looking for something within 4 hourish train ride as starting point. I guess total mileage would be sub 150 miles as looking to enjoy the downtime as well as the cycling!

All suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks folks!

Hi Steph - welcome to CycleChat!

I plotted exactly that kind of route for another CC member a couple of months ago. Take a look at this thread and see if you fancy it.

Cheers,

Circuit of Suffolk and norfolk? Or Kent and Sussex? Or Soouth Dorset - Purbecks and South Wessex. Marlborough Downs? Cotswolds? Chilterns?

url=[www.cycle-n-sleep.co.uk]Cycle'n'sleep[/url] lists many routes in detail. Most are longer than you want, but you can cherry pick

For instance the Coast and Castles above could be shortened by missing out the industrial Newcastle bit and start at Warkworth for the spectacular coast, Lidisfarne, Kelso etc.

Or do a one way?

Head off West and come back along the Severn and Thames from Gloucester

Head off East into Kent and follow the Gareden of ngland From Dover (or shorten and start at Deal?)
