I don't know. My first thought is to construct a lid/cover for it from mesh so she can sit and look out but not try to jump out, but I don't want to force something on her that's really aversive. Although small (terrier based mongrel) she's tough and fit and is fine running for a few miles. If I have to stop every so often for her, so be it. It's so much less painful than walking is for me.
