England : Merseyside Looking for a club

Hello, newby here

I've recently started cycling trying to get fit for a charity bike ride in September. Erm...... I'm quite enjoying it!

I'm far from fit and have done a couple of 15-20 mile road rides in about 2hrs. I am trying to improve and have just bought a cheap road bike to see if that helps (was on my bro's MTB).

So anyway I'm looking for a group to latch on to. I live in haydock, st Helen's, merseyside.

Anyone have me?

Wow big difference! I did a 17mile ride today in 1hr 20m. The road bike was far easier to push on than my bros rusty MTB

Thanks John. For the next 5 weeks it will be road bikes only as I'm in training for the manc to Blackpool night ride. After that then defo. Are you widnes based?

Ok cool. I only asked about the widnes link because I grew up there and was often called a woolly back!
