Certainly can't compete with previous offering - with one that I ride, anyway - what's in the shed / garden are different matters.

Everyday bike - am under no illusions that it'd get nicked if circumstances were right ... but there are invariably better choices on offer.
Saddle got bits missing.
Non matching wheels
SSteel front mudguard originally too small for 700, so flattened and re-curved. It now rattles, which is a good warning for dog walkers etc without me having to do owt.
Extra trailer related junk.
Assorted mini and std size bungees all over.
Cosmetically challenged gear changer casings
Non matching handlebar grips
Rubbish looking non std. pannier rack
etc
Btw - doubtful, but if anyone's wondering about the short (horizontal) saddle / downtube link - it's a mini one foot step ladder, so's I could lean the bike against a wall/ fence, step on same and give me extra height for uninterrupted line of sight when taking pics.

I feel the perfect grungy bike hasn't been seen yet, something mechanically good that is really naff looking and unappealing and perceived as very low value. Even the Apollo Evade was just too good for the thread. I guess something like this possibly if serviced;

i like the tip later in the forum to leave your bike with flat tyres and take a pump

short of a lock? take your chain link extractor out ..remove chain and break various lengths to secure many bits on your bike and a standing object ...you know it makes sense
