Looks like somebody attempted to have a go at the lock on my bike

I cant for the life of me remember these scratches being there earlier today when i locked my bike up at work.

It looks like someone might have been tried to cut through the plastic/rubber sheath for reasons i dont even know,

While the cuts arent very deep, it does look like someone has tried to have a go at it.

Any pattern to the cuts/scratches?

Picture loaded, are they the only scratches. They seem to be nowt but rubbing/scuff marks.

Any similar damage to either the barrel or the bike?

Nope, there seems to be some minor scratches to the paintwork, but i think that is from me having trouble fitting this 'narrow' lock through the wheel and the frame. 700c tyres can make my Kryptonite New York a bit of a chore to lock occasionally.

Probably me just being paranoid i guess.

Assume the bike is properly insured and you have the details stored. Is it locked somewhere securely at work, if so is there CCTV? Talk to the facilities or security manager
