Ladies, gentlemen, boys, girls, guys, gals, apologies.

I had a bad day yesterday and let it spill over into the cafe. Sorry.
Just as well the IS Cafe, you'd never get away with an apology in P&L Debates and whatever the hell it is we call it these days, P&L lite ....

At nearly forty, I say 'I'm having a girls lunch out'.

I wear skirt and dress suits for work, because I feel more comfortable, and as I do a lot of driving, a skirt seems to crease less.
Blouses are wrong on many levels!
I like a straight skirt, pencil skirts are great, and I feel more flattering to my shape.

Having worked all my life in predominantly male environments, I think the kind of man who is going to make a lewd comment is going to make it when you're wearing a boiler suit and visor, or a suit and heels.
Giving it back in spades, and the woman's attitude and demeanour has a part to play.

Do you like pink?

Your avatar that's why.

Slightly off topic, but...when I worked in an office it used to mildly annoy me that the blokes had to wear a shirt and tie (and trousers of course) while the women could wear whatever they liked. Jeans and casual tops were the norm.
It's the same when you watch TV news and current affairs programmes. Kirsty Wark wears some outfits that wouldn't look out of place in a circus, while her male colleagues on Newsnight wear suits and ties.
There. I feel better now...

Echoes my thoughts exactly. The office dress code is a little more relaxed, suits/ties not expected but shirts/trousers are for the men. The women dress tidily in whatever they please, though I'm not sure if that makes it easier or harder for them when picking clothes out of the wardrobe in a morning.

My wife goes on 'girls' nights out. Her words.

personally i find a bit of cleavage and flirting does wonders for my career

no really, i do.

men have the chance to "bond" with their boss through talking about football, golf, rugby etc (i also work for a blue chip company and many of the boys go on golfing days so don't tell me this isn't true).

what do women have? exactly. TITS.

and i've got great tits (obviously, before anyone says it, this thread is going to be useless without pictures but trust me i do, not had kids so they're just where they are supposed to be... nearer the top of my rib cage rather than the bottom )

obviously, you have to be able to do your job to back it up, but all's fair in love and war... and work! and if a guy can break the ice in the board room, then i can get my cleavage out!

Here for rides.
Or, as the rest of the world call them, skirts.

I've worn my kilt, a utilikilt rather than a Highland or Irish one, to work a couple of times when it has been very hot. Nobody had a coronary. The mickey was duly taken out of me by the usual suspects.

That's knackered part of the Feminist agenda then

At a previous workplace (heavy engineering factory) one fine-looking lass came to work wearing a leotard and a silk scarf around her waist - quite distracting.
