Holy crap, in Sweden they have the right hand rule for T junctions, i.e. vehicles on the main carriageway have to give way to car joining from a side road.

I don't want to put words into Mr Paul's mouth but I think what he means to say here is that even if you have a green light, you have to be a complete knob to ride into the centre of a melee and risk getting injured because it is your 'right'?
I understand that completely and even if it is not shown on the video I am looking at the both drivers to see what they are doing and I am ready to stop, but I'm quite tired of people just sitting in their cars and not caring about anything else than them selves.

One thing that is quite common here for example is people passing a trafic light in an intersection because they have green even though the traffic in front of them is standing still so when the lights turn red they are in the middle of the intersection and blocking the traffic from the other side.

I am actually not that careless as it looks in the video, it seems to be closer than it is in real life.

But there is also a diffrence between UK and Sweden because the reaction I can see from you is quite diffrent from what people in Sweden have reacted to these two videos.

Well this differs between Sweden and UK

It doesn't though.

Just 'because' you think you have right of way, it isn't going to stop another road user if they make a mistake. In both clips you barrell through into two potentially dangerous situations expecting them to stop. The second clip, you were very lucky the taxi stopped, if he hadn't you'd be under the front wheels, air zound or not.

What you don't seem to have taken on, in this thread, is your riding style - it's been mentioned a few times. Yes the drivers were wrong, but your riding was plain stupid and arrogant, drivers won't always stop, be that because they weren't looking, or it's just too late.

You have mentioned you ride one way in cities, and another out in the country - why ? Not having had an accident 'yet' doesn't mean you are doing it right. Riding round like that, pushing through tiny gaps, weaving in and out, then flying through a junction, when it's clear a car is going to cross your path (rightly or wrongly) is just plain stupid. You are going to get it very wrong one day.

What's all this about sounding a horn, car or not. If you see a problem, you can slow down and anticipate it, then not need to use a horn - better all round for everyone as nobody gets worked up.

I'd take a chill pill if I was you. Don't go charging into possible situations just because you have right of way - it's a very quick way to get killed.

Well this shows your attitude - just because you are ready to stop - you are literally barging your way through - one day they won't stop for you.

Skol said the right thing, you ride like a 'kn0b'

Now where is the popcorn !

Nothing wrong with the horn warning in the 1st video but the filtering was too risky for me.

In the 2nd video it was obvious the taxi was not stopping and the horn was not used properly as a warning of the cyclist's presence but as a rebuke.

Oh and don't post those videos on bike radar, you really will get toasted for that riding.

Mr P hits it on the head - 'make allowances for idiots' - it helps the blood pressure !

I do think you lot are being overly critical on the cyclist. I think you should stop being James Blunts, myself.

Pot Kettle.

He comes on here posting how great the air zound is, and to be frank, he wouldn't need to use it if he cycled a bit better - simple !

I think as the OP says "Sweden is different" - Ive cycled in most of the Scandinavian countries (and Benelux) and found it quite un-nerving sometimes the blind faith that cyclists have that traffic will give way - if you take the UK approach and wait and see if the traffic gives way then you will get at the least a load of abuse from the cyclist behind and and risk being rear ended at speed - really unreal until you get used to it - but it seems to work

I can ride confidently/assertively/agressively/recklessly* (*Delete as appropriate) as well as the next person but, I don't feel the need to have a truckhorn, I don't feel the need to film it and post it on youtube and I don't feel the need to brag about it on t'internet, because I know it's not big and it's not clever.

I don't know why but I just don't get it? Maybe something in the mentality of the helmet cam cyclist is just different to the rest of us?
