It has been nice going home but round here we are still getting whiteovers every morning when i go to work ( still dark though when i set off )

Yes, totally agree, weather is nice at the mo, but we are still seeing frosts in the morning. Won't last for much longer though, and I'll be able to dispense with me lights in a couple of weeks.

Been good, and 3 of the 4 days this week I've been travelling between sites in the middle of the day - lots of sun. For the first time in a long time, the bike is actually dusty   I'm slacking........

Only had overshoes on first thing today, not used at all the rest of the week...... makes a change. Forecast is OK for the weekend too..... might get my long training run in for the Cheshire Cat....

its been really good week, alot of people at work are admiring the bike and are saying they might get a bke next time cycle to work comes round!

It might be lovely (in fact that's one reason I thought I'd drive out to Derwent Valley and go for a run around Ladybower) but its still dark at 9pm.

Couldn't believe, heading back into Sheffield on the A625, loads of night cyclists around like Xmas trees on wheels then just after Fox House, I saw a silhouette wobble on the horizon and thought "is that a bike up front?"

All dressed in black, 2 abreast, only when I was right on top of them could I make out the faintest glimmer from the death throes af AA batteries on one single dim light. Between them.

If I'd had spare batteries I'd have stopped them and donated, as if I hadn't seen the faint silhouette up ahead for a moment, I'd have been on them a lot quicker and been a lot more surprised.

Bizarrely after I had passed, their front lights were super-bright and plentiful. Think they were stuck in the off-road mindset of needing to see every bump in front but not seen from behind. Crazy..

....... OTOH I walked out to retrieve the bike from the garage this morning and thought... brrrr! It was a bit white and chilly!

I succumbed and retrieved the Thinsulate cap and neck warmer. Couldn't face the tights though so I put on some hiking gaiters for windchill protection. It was actually quite uncomfortable cycling in this morning, not because of feeling bodily cold but because it felt like I was breathing in powdered glass all the time.
