the smell of rain after humidity, then the subtle difference after the rain stops
smell of my cat -miss her - i know how you feel BOAB
clothes that have dried outside in the air and sun
the smell of a loved ones skin
the smell of a delicious home cooked meal wafting in the kitchen
the smell of newly burnt out wax candles
smell of books and certain print catalogues/magazine-that wonderous print and paper combo
fresh jasmine flowers- that greeny floral hint, not that overconcentrated floral burst you get in synthetics- korres shower gel is a great reproduction of the scent
a fresh frangrant sweet pea- my favourite flowers
night scented stock wafting in the evening through an open window
the smell of freshly turned slightly damp soil
cut grass
vetiver, frankincense, patchouli, orange blossom, vanilla, oakmoss
if we're talking about perfumes - chanel no 5 - the parfum concentrate not the eau's as they don't have the same formulation
Amaranthine from Penhaligon - the spicy start/top notes is not to my liking but it mellows out into a hint of spice with mid and base notes of banana leaf, vanilla and green tea- floral yet sweet.
Estee Lauder -pleasures - floral, light and refreshingly green top notes
Strangely enough I don't wear perfume very often as I like 'natural' skin scent on myself and others
Can go on forever- the sense of smell is so important and so tied in with the experiencing of everyday and the extraordinary - pinch your nose and try and eat a cube of apple and pear and discern the difference between them- quite difficult to.
