The VDO computer I use on my road and TT bikes is playing up. I've resoldered the battery connector a couple of times but it's getting so I can't bodge it any more without splitting the moulded case.

So...

I need either two cheapish wired computers or one cheapish wired computer and a spare mount.

I've had a look on the web but it's not always obvious how the mounts work.

On both bikes I want to mount the computer on the stem so I'll need a computer with a mount that'll work.

Only important features are speed, average and distance.

I think Cateye mounts are good for bars or stem- is that so?

Probably sorted.

Found a Cateye stem mount in my box of bits and have ordered an Aerobar mount and a Cateye computer from Wiggle.
