I'm one that needs to eat regular. Worse is if busy doing DIY/gardening all day, skip lunch, then I end up physically shaking due to lack of food.

On the bike it is essential you eat properly.

Yes. I'm always running on hungry, I suppose it's why I'm so thin, although a Tour rider would still make me look like a fatty.

Flew back. 37 miles at average of 18.1 considering that was commuting in urban traffic. Stuffed my face all evening tough.
Oh so you didn't really push your body to hard then . I once did about 60 miles in one go on nothing but 1.5l of electrolytes & a cup of coffee at a stern pace, I got to half way through the ride to realise I'd left all my provisions & wallet on the kitchen table! I got home & wanted to stuff my face but if I ate anything it came back up about 15min latter. I ended up having to sip energy gels over at the rate of 1 every 40min about 3 hours to get enough energy to digest food.

You'll be fine - just buy another mars bar.

Thinking about it, I have had a bowl of cornflakes, two slices of bread and marmalade, two bananas and half a thin crust tuna pizza. Three or four cups of tea and a biscuit or two.

I've been doing physical building work all day, plus mowed the lawn, planted a shrub and moved 3 large rocks 50 metres. 2 or 3 years ago I'd have been ravenous but I am not even hungry yet. My next job is to move a chest freezer into my van and shift 3 stone troughs up the garden.

You should've been named Obelix. Or have you had a visit from Getafix?

Eek, I have never bonked but thought I came close today. I did a similar distance but ate more.

Started the day on a bowl of oat cereal, toast and a tea. Then went out and did 105km non stop over 4hrs on the road bike. I took two bidons with salt and Lo-salt plus 6 fig rolls. I was dying in the last 10km, with max speed dropping below 20km/h, no power in my legs, and felt like I had flu with the shakes and hot sweating.
