I'm one that needs to eat regular. Worse is if busy doing DIY/gardening all day, skip lunch, then I end up physically shaking due to lack of food.
On the bike it is essential you eat properly.
Yes. I'm always running on hungry, I suppose it's why I'm so thin, although a Tour rider would still make me look like a fatty.
. I once did about 60 miles in one go on nothing but 1.5l of electrolytes & a cup of coffee at a stern pace, I got to half way through the ride to realise I'd left all my provisions & wallet on the kitchen table! I got home & wanted to stuff my face but if I ate anything it came back up about 15min latter. I ended up having to sip energy gels over at the rate of 1 every 40min about 3 hours to get enough energy to digest food.
