1. If only the motorbike plod arrived that little bit earlier.

2. The road at the beginning of the vid looks horrible to cycle down, with cars parked on both sides.

3. The cabbie needed a slap but...

4. ....you/cycle cammer did well not to and keep your cool.

That is all.

I still don't see anything which says he can be a dick to others.
The reason why some cabbys don't make much is due to the fact the market is saturated
Actually what I noted was that cabbies (as opposed to private hire "minicabs") do reasonably well financially, especially in London. Of course, as I mentioned, this financial position is somewhat mitigated by the effect on the health of the lifestyle which they follow, never mind the explosive outbursts. Anyone care to join the "coronary" queue at the next lights?

It entirely depends on location and times which you work. I would still says the market is saturated.

Cabbie round my way drives a brand new X6 monster and owns a house which would cost at least £750k. I think they do OK.

I drive a taxi in London and I do a fair bit of cycling. Triathlon originally and am now into cycle touring. I find it embarassing watching clips like this and the drivers attitude was totally over the top. Report him to the p.c.o. It is an offence to use abusive language to a member of the public. You probably won't get any help in improving his driving and I'm afraid there are too many idiots driving cars out there.
In my opinion taxi drivers are improving slightly in how they deal with cyclists but there's a long way to go.
I got knocked off last year by a woman in a red car. My collarbone was broken in 6 places, I couldn't work for 3 months, couldn't claim any benefits and as someone who likes to keep fit and healthy it affected me a lot psychologically. However I don't think all women drivers or all people in red cars are nutters, so don't think all taxi drivers are.
