If i said you had a beautiful body would you hold it against me....![]()
I think it's probably also a deliberate double-meaning joke!"If i said you had a beautiful body would you hold it against me...."
But that's actually meant to be cheesy. I think it's a masterpiece of cheese.
I k now the drummers brotherAgadoo doo doo, push pineapple shake the tree.
Any song with 'me and you' in it.
Having not gone through all 15 pages I apologise if these have come up before:
Melting Pot by Blue Mink
Imagine by John Lennon
Call me cynical but syrupy sentimentality never does it for me.
If i said you had a beautiful body would you hold it against me....![]()
Sorry i can only cringe! its not the sort of music i would normally listen to, only by chance. Each to there own but i dont want to laugh or appreciate cheesiness my preference is for something beautiful or where a musician/band/orchestra is so committed/ wired/plugged into the mains its gonna make my hair stand on end!Similar from Dr Hook.
When you’re in love with a beautiful woman, it’s hard.
Clearly a silly joke, written to make you laugh.

Ob la di, ob la da. Terrible, even for an avowed Beatles fan like myself.
See, Lennon, as much of a prat as he was, knew when to stop. He knew what was worth writing down and what wasn't. McCartney, on the other hand, wrote down every tune and lyric that popped into his mind and did his best to record them all no matter how dire.
Still, it enabled McCartney to buy Sussex and Hampshire. But it's a dreadful lyrics all the same.
The Frog Song? You have a problem with THE FROG SONG?!?That film he did about Rupert the Bear, with songs that make you want to cut your ears off. “ We all stand together” and “ The Frog Song”
The Frog Song? You have a problem with THE FROG SONG?!?
Right, that's it - I'm coming over there to sort this out ...
