M40 journey planning assistance

I need to drive down the M40 from Warwick and at some point park the car and switch to train to continue into central London.

Can anyone with local knowledge advise on where to make the switch for the quickest overall journey? Beaconsfield? High Wycombe? Hillingdon?

All advice received gratefully.

Hillingdon is the easiest. A minute off the M/A40. Metropolitan line into Baker Street about 35 mins. trains every ten minutes or so.

Going back a few years, I would often park at Perivale and get the Central line.

At that time the station had a small, free car park, and unrestricted parking in surrounding streets.

Pleasant enough area, so I had some confidence the car would still be there and be in one piece when I returned.

Sadly not, as when i retrieve the car afterwards I am continuing round the m25.

I usually park at Stanmore then Jubilee line in Apologies thats off the M1.
