Yep u prob right , but being an MTBER , I would not put it past a roadie , just to get his STRAVA time up ha

Not something I would do but to be honest you would probably be safer on the nice wide motorway hard shoulder than in the inside lane of a dual carriageway A road .

Whereabouts on the 53? If he's not local a couple of the interchanges it's easy to get pushed on by traffic if you are not familiar with the road.

Just put in segregated cycle paths along motorways, grade separated at junctions. Not the most scenic routes but I would welcome being able to cycle long distances on easy to follow routes without significant hills.

I agree! It wouldn't be fun but would at least allow for direct routes around the country
