I've seen Davywalnuts make a burger disappear!!!

Not seen our resident magician do any tricks yet, perhaps a little show on the next Whitstable ride??
I've seen our resident magician make a huge pile of sandwiches and cakes vanish.

(He did need the assistance of lots of hungry cyclists for that one)

Actually his best trick is making the huge pile of sandwiches and cakes appear in the first place. Nom.

Even if you had someone in the street picking a card from a pack and the magician guessing what it is, you just do it 52 times and use the one where the guess is right.
Derren Brown did a brilliant variation of this a couple of years ago, persuading punters that he had an infallible horse betting system. All completely genuine, although laborious to film - he started with something like half a dozen race meetings and selected six-horse races with suitable odds, then got each of his punters (who never saw the others) to bet on a different horse. It carried on over several weekends and at the end of it there was, inevitably, one lass who had had been given six winning tips in a row. For this last one she had been told to scrape together every bit of spare cash she and hubby had in their current accounts ... and the look on her face when Derren Brown explained that she was simply the mathematically certain 'winner' out of over 100 losers and that if she did bet any more the chances were that she would lose the lot!

I remember that. He just had enough people to cover all the outcomes of the six races.
I do like the Penn and Teller format where they show you a trick, show you how it is done and then do an extra trick at the end which you were not expecting.
