Such an open ended question.

For what purpose for a start?

Whichever one has the best free gift!!! I've just realised I've started buying Cycling Active by habit and then not reading much of it. Must stop.

I always find something useful or interesting in Cycling Plus, although it could be guilty of encouraging unrealistic bike ownership expectations.

With a lot of hobbies, I find if I stop reading the magazines I enjoy what I have more, and hanker after something else less...

...

That is so so true.

I am going to buy this months as it is reviewing winter bikes, but some of the stuff in it is pap - some reviews of clothing is laughable.

I brought Cycling Active at the airport in the summer and have found myself buying it every month since then. I know I'm a newbie but i've enjoyed reading each one as there seems to be a bit of everything. Just subscribed for a year to get the free offer this month!

Rouleur. Not great if you are just wanting kit reviews but the articles and the writing are second to none. It is expensive but i've never felt ripped off the way i do with some cheaper magazines that are just full of ads and rehashed content.

Cycling Weekly if you hark back to a golden age of local club TTs and despise the circus of pro-racing.

Any other mag if you want to read reviews of top-of-the-range bikes and dietary supplements.

I think it's difficult to beat that well known e-mag Cycle Chat. Knowledgeable contributors, wide range of disciplines covered, often amusing, usually inspiring. Many of the reviewers actually own the bikes they review, allegedly. Oh, and it's free!
