Mains charger for Garmin Nuvi 205W series

My wife has just treated herself to one of these (I prefer maps!). It did not come with a mains charger supplied.
We have a mains charger for something else (haven't got a clue what for ) with a mini-USB plug which fits the socket on the back of the nuvi.
I have searched in vain for a technical specification which might give some details of how to charge the nuvi from the mains without frying it, blowing it up or rendering it useless.
The mains charger we have bears the following information:
Input: 100-240V~50/60Hz 0.2A
Output: 5.0V [then a symbol I can't reproduce on here] 550mA

Can I use it on the nuvi without frying it, blowing it up, etc.?

N.B. A slug understands the off-side rule better than I understand electricity / electronics .

Thanks in advance for your advice.

I have a Nuvi. Just about any of the USB style chargers I have for phones, MP3, cameras etc will all work with the Nuvi.

I have never used a mains charger on the 250W

There was a cable that plugged into the lighter socket and provided power, charging as well.

.....or are you talking about using this on the bike?

No, I hadn't thought about using it on the bike, in fact I don't think we'll be using all that much at all (I've got a lot of maps ^_^). But I noticed that a mains charger is available as an optional extra and as I had this other charger I was wondering if I could use it if the need arose.
