My wife has just treated herself to one of these (I prefer maps!). It did not come with a mains charger supplied.
We have a mains charger for something else (haven't got a clue what for
) with a mini-USB plug which fits the socket on the back of the nuvi.
I have searched in vain for a technical specification which might give some details of how to charge the nuvi from the mains without frying it, blowing it up or rendering it useless.
The mains charger we have bears the following information:
Input: 100-240V~50/60Hz 0.2A
Output: 5.0V [then a symbol I can't reproduce on here] 550mA
Can I use it on the nuvi without frying it, blowing it up, etc.?
N.B. A slug understands the off-side rule better than I understand electricity / electronics
.
Thanks in advance for your advice.
