Major film decision to make today!

There's been nothing worth seeing at the pictures for ages and now, like busses, loads come at once. We're going tonight but to which one? Anyone on here seen any of these and can recommend or otherwise?

Green Zone, starring Matt Damon (say it in slow mental defective way!) and Brendan Gleeson. Got a great write up and it's apparently a cracker of movie.

I Love You Phillip Morris, a comedy starring Jim Carrey and Ewan McGregor who fall in love after Jim Carrey realises he's gay after a near-death experience. Again, a fabulous write-up reckoning this is superb.

Shutter Island, a Martin Scorsese film starring Leo Di Caprio, Mark Ruffalo, Ben Kingsley, Emily Mortimer and Max Von Sydow. A dark thriller set on an isolated island housing a mental institution where a convicted murderess is supposedly hiding. Another superb review rating this extremely highly.

The Crazies. Once again, a great write-up about an Iowa town plagued by insanity. Sounds a bit dodgy but all reviews are very positive about this one.

Choices, choices, choices. Which one is YOUR money on?

Hmm, Shutter Island or Green Zone for me, but I do have a penchant for action/thriller movies (preferably with a certain degree of intellectual stimulus, car chases and big explosions are a bonus).

I Love You Phillip Morris, maybe a good film, I'd just be wary of it trading on the novelty of a homosexual relationship. Would it work so well if the central pairing were heterosexual? (Should this even matter?)

The Crazies, based purely on my exposure to the TV trailers, I reckon you could get far more bangs per buck by buying a box set of vintage zombie movies.

Heard good reports from friends on both Shutter Island and Green Zone.

My personal choice would be Green Zone

It might come down to that. How good is Shutter Island? The reviews on that just edge it, actually so that's favourite at the moment but it has (slightly) the least best start time!

I have seen all of your choices with the exception of the Jim Carey film. They are all well worth a watch and you wont be disappointed but IMHO do yourself a favour and see The girl with a dragon tattoo it is THE movie to see at the moment.

Sounds good enough to me.

You know what? I would watch literally any film with the actress who raises my pulse as to me, she's the most perfect woman in the world; no, not Big Ev out of Eastenders but Julia Roberts. She's absolutely wonderful.

Hmmmm....a good film but I've seen it three times and since I haven't seen the others (yet) it's hard to call.

Shutter Island got a stinging review in The Telegraph, they hadn't got a good word to say about it - should be okay then!

And wild horses wouldn't drag me to see anything with Jim Carey in it.

I'd go for Shutter island. looks like my kind of film.
