That looks like a full on road bike, what tyres have you got on there then?
I thought the 'cross bike would have been ideal with some studded tyres on, can't see you getting them on that one though.

Also you have no excuse of 'I'm on a Brompton' next time we are out on a ride

sorry got it wrong again...tcx 1!!!...can get upto 700c x 45's on it and still have clearance.

Would like one of those myself Shaun, certainly fancy a Cross bike next year as an all weather commuter or winter studded tyre bike.

yeah sure now...had to look at it in the garage. i do like it, my back gets a bit sore, but i am used to sit up n beg position of the brommie. i can't fit guards but, i now have about £650 worth of goretex clobber and a chrome metropolis bag, so it really doesn't matter.

i'll be doing the leeds - canal (bet i'm quicker on this bike than the brommie!!) in late spring and hopefully doing a few 200km's maybe a 300km, if i get time.

like you say, a good all round compromise, just need some studs and i'm set.

yeah i'm just an endurance plodder....usually on totally unsuitable bikes for the conditions....eg, brompton for the rough stuff n my scott genius ltd slicked out for colinj hilly rides. in retrospect, there summat wrong wi' me.

It will be my version of a Chelsea Tractor, it won't ever go off road or get dirty
