Even if the usual lax sentence is imposed on the accused, his insurance premiums ought to rocket if he's convicted. That's likely to hurt him a lot more, and will probably stay on his record longer ~ 7 years?
Shirley a good reason to persue these incidents through the courts when we can, even when we may otherwise be put off by the seeming pointlessness of it, given that the court's punishment may be next to nothing.
