Manchester to Blackpool

I've signed up for the manchester to blackpool ride how hard is it etc

Relatively Flat all the way ..... few little bumps north of preston ....
How many miles do you ride ?

I do it every year and back on a club run.....

It's not but then when I did it in September the weather was the best they had ever had

I normally do about 30 miles quite hilly aswell I'm building my distance up each week quite looking forward to it but I think I will only be doing it one way ha

It's like a 60 mile flat ride.

Gong to try a pre run sometime I think

You will need to put a few more miles in your legs .... pre run is a good idea

One word of advice set off early 7.00/7.30 .... it gets hectic..and if its sunny even worse !

riding it any later than 7.30 ... imagine trying to run across the M6 in your cycling shoes on a monday morning

Haha thanks for the help n I am gonna have to pull my finger out am out tomorrow sat and Sunday got a good few months to get upto scratch

Think its august ? .... every month do extra 10 mile ... ie 30..40 ..50 keep going on 50m runs for a few months before hand...

It usually passes Astley down Manchester road, not done it since 1994 but have done a forum ride over to the Golden Mile since and it's not a bad ride at all......I did it on a fixie last time !
