Now here's a claim to fame l wish l didn't have !
I am most certainly not talking about my sprint ability , oh no !
What l have in common with Mr Cavendish is very regrettable...l am talking about the Epstein -Barr virus .
I was diagnosed five or six years ago but since the initial nightmare of symptoms and quite unpleasant treatment up until now l have been clear of problems.
Regrettably l seem to have begun another bout of the dreaded E-B V. So just wondering if anyone out there has experience of this illness and if so, how's it going for you ?

It’s not unlike glandular fever. It’s not pleasant, and it keeps coming back, good luck with it.

Yikes, I've just been reading about it on Wiki. Sorry I made so light of it; it's really nasty isn't it!
No problem about making light of it ! It is a very odd illness in that there does not appear to be a permanent cure and it can make you vulnerable to a whole range of conditions. I must admit that when the specialist told me l had it some years ago now , l didn't take it very seriously , that was until l had to have MRI scans and some seriously unpleasant drugs and so many blood tests that l suggested they install a tap into one of my veins !
I have been lucky for a few years not to have any more problems until now so l hope with luck this latest hiccup will soon clear up .:okay:

Isn't it the cause of Glandular Fever?

Not from toilet seats then?
Unlikely  More likely due to my itinerant life over several years of "employment" in some less than savoury parts of Asia where if you were lucky there would be a hole in the ground and keep an eye open for toilet pigs . I hope you don't need a more detailed explanation of that animal !!
